COVID-19 Update

Birtle Riverside Golf Club 2020 Spring Update

In normal times, the golf season would nearly be upon us, however, during the uncertain times of this COVID-19 Pandemic, there are many unknowns.

As of now, the Birtle Riverside Golf Course remains closed as Golf Courses are not considered essential under the Order from the Chief Provincial Public Health Officer dated April 1, 2020. Both the Clubhouse and the Course itself will not be open to the public until the order is lifted by the Manitoba Provincial Government.

However, the course still needs to be maintained and the club will incur expenses to prepare the golf course for opening when the restrictions are rescinded. Greenkeeping staff will be hired to prepare the irrigation system for use, fairways and greens will still be mowed and maintained.

The board is asking members to pay their 2020 Memberships and Shed Rentals fees in advance of the 2020 Golf Season. We are not increasing membership fees this year.

Membership fees are:      Single - $475, Couple $880, Family $1,000.

Shed Rental fees are:       Electric Cart - $235, Gas Cart - $204.

All fees include applicable taxes.

Depending on when the Provincial Order is lifted, the board is recommending that the unused portion of your 2020 Membership will be pro-rated and carried over to be applied to your 2021 Membership Fees. This will allow us to meet our financial obligations.

Membership can be paid in the following manners;

Cheques can be mailed to Birtle Riverside Golf  Club, Box 418, Birtle, MB R0M0C0
